Artists :: F :: The Fiery Furnaces

The Fiery Furnaces are a brother/sister duo from Brooklyn, New York. The brother, Matthew, writes the songs and plays the instruments, while the sister, Eleanor, handles most of the singing. Their abrasive brand of psychedelic pop is extremely divisive, and has earned them vocal fans and equally vocal detractors. Their most critically acclaimed work to date is 2004's Blueberry Boat. They released Bitter Tea in 2006, and Widow City is due in 2007.
